SHOWING WEIGHT in POSES

SHOWING WEIGHT in POSES | Griffin Animation Academy by Eddie Chew

.

.

A quick way to recognize weight in poses is a line or curve change in pose. In this video example Eddie uses the difference between a straight leg extension of a stretched pose into a squash pose, which is a contraction of the leg pose. On a quick note as pointed out in the video: The passing front leg pose of a quadruped is always straight to bear the heavy weight of the chest as the creature passes over it.
